Make a Donation to Your Local League!

Donations may be made in one of two ways:

1. A donation made to the LWV of Clallam County is a 501(c)(4)  donation and IS NOT tax deductible. However, donating to this fund will offer the Clallam League the necessary flexibility to allocate resources according to our priorities and unforeseen needs, allowing us to effectively utilize the funds for various purposes, such as local candidate forums.
2. A donation made  to the LWVWA Education Fund is a 501(c)(3) charitable donation and thus IS tax deductible. Donations made to the LWVWA Education Fund are used for educational purposes within the local community. The Education Fund is dedicated to strengthening knowledge of government in Washington State, and sponsors and supports nonpartisan educational projects that help the public better understand major public policy issues and become active and informed participants in their communities and in their government.  Browse Education Funded Studies, Books, Reports

Please note: When writing a check, please indicate make check out to either the LWV of Clallam County, or out to the LWVWA Education Fund.

You can make also make a donation ("additional membership contribution") to the League during the join or renew process. Donations made at the time of join or renewal will be split as follows: 20% goes to your local Clallam league, 47% goes to the WA state league, and 33% goes to the US league.

Get Involved!
Membership & Dues

• Membership is open to any person of any gender 16 years of age or older who subscribes to the purposes and policies of the League.

• $75* is the suggested dues amount, however the LWV now offers a 'pay what you can' dues model. The minimum amount is $20.

• Your membership in our local League is for one year, renewable annually on your join date (or June 30th if you joined before May 14, 2022).

• With your local membership, you automatically also become a member of LWV of the United States (National) and LWV of Washington (State).
  

• Annual dues support local, state and national Leagues to sustain services and support throughout the organization. You will see the breakdown as three separate transactions on your credit card statement, adding up to the dues amount you entered. See the graphic below for a visual.
